Even the wrong move moves you forward

Sometimes we get stuck because we are waiting for the right move and the right timing. But making any move, even the “wrong” one, can still move you forward because it gives you feedback.

When you only sit, contemplate, and ruminate, life cannot give you feedback because nothing is actually happening. You are thinking about action, but action itself is the only way to learn what is right.

Effortless action often goes with the grain rather than against it. It is usually simpler than we think. Often, it is the most obvious next step. Start there.

We want someone to tell us what the right thing is, but the real way to know is to act and then observe what happens. Action gives feedback. Thinking about action does not.
