You’re not confused. You’re just not ready to know.
Sometimes confusion is not confusion at all. Sometimes it is resistance to what you already sense is true. Because once you fully let yourself know, something may have to change. A relationship, a pattern, a plan, a version of yourself you have been trying to preserve. A version of yourself that is comfortable in current ways. If you allowed yourself to know the truth, you would have to disrupt your life.
So you wait. You analyze. You ask the same question in ten different ways, hoping the answer will soften or disappear. But often the truth is already there. What you call confusion may simply be your mind buying time before your life has to respond.
